Very interesting and excellent topic. Thank you very much!
About me I found this free Australian site and made some sells some years ago with just 2 tunes.
I only can put the coins in my pocket when I will get US$50, but I was more busy on Kampooz.

Great site, thanks Xan! :)

Here are a few more sites I found recently. I have not had time to submit any songs yet, but when I do, I will give you all an update on the process, etc...

I was contacted by this site on Twitter recently:
http://www.soundvault.tv
After I asked them what was the deal, I got this message:
May I have your email to send info?
60% of the sync fee goes back to you and you keep 100% of your rights.
How many tracks do you have?

Thanks Xan - this looks like a cool site, I'm listening to some of the music they've got displayed, sounds really good. Did you submit any of your music yet?

Nope, I didn't submit. I'm mistrustful, I don't find alot of infos about this site.

I just noticed they are in Beta, so maybe it's best not to submit until their site is finished. They don't have too many artists there yet either. Hopefully their site will be great once it's finished.

I found this site today - http://www.stye.sourceaudio.com/#!home

Most tracks I've listened to are very Epic sounding - I have not heard anything with vocals, so not sure if they accept songs with vocals, maybe just instrumentals.

You have to email them if you're interested in submitting your tracks. I really like what they say on their site, "We're always looking for new music to offer our clients and are never concerned with style or genre.....just quality." :)

Thank you Raven. I will try with Soundvault with just one tune and see what's going on.
I'm going to check stye too. Thank you. :)

Hey Guys,

Just in case you haven't already signed up to http://www.soundreef.com - I really recommend you guys upload your finished/polished music there. Spicy Folk received another royalty payment of $80.00. :)

There is a service that I have used, http://www.synk.io . The site is free, but they curate you first. Earlier this year I placed an instrumental piece with them into the show 'Vice' on HBO. The upside is obviously that they are free. The downside is that they don't actually pay you the licensing fee that they promise. They promised around $200 for that and I have yet to see it. However, you will get paid through your PRO, and I was able to keep 100% of my publishing along with my writer's royalties. I've earned close to $1K on just the one track. The other thing is that they are not on top of doing cue sheets. So if you get contacted and told that they are placing your tune, you should register it with your PRO yourself.

This is not so much a recommendation as information. If you can live with what I believe to be their disorganized process and don't care a lot about the licensing fee itself, then you might be able to make some money on the backend.
