Hi everyone, nothing's better than a new challenge to get the creative juices flowing, so here's a new one.

Welcome to the  Night and Day Challenge

This one is nice and simple, you just need to produce a song/instrumental or spoken word track that is themed on either Daytime or Night-time. That gives you so much creative territory to inspire you.

So just as an example Daytime could be: Happy, Bright, Uplifting, Reflective or Moody and Unsettled and Night-time could be: Dark, Mysterious, Forboding, Scary or Terrifying. Whatever inspires you, it's your choice.

As ever this should be fun and it would be great to get lots of different types of approaches.

So why not start your own project or even  jump in and help someone out with some talent they are looking for.

A much cherished ProCollabs badge and a $10 credit to everyone who is part of a track placed into the Music Store by the deadline. The minimum number of  collaborators on any track is two this time, so unfortunately no solo efforts.

The deadline for this challenge is Sunday July 19th, that's six weeks to get your projects started and  completed.

Any questions just post them in this thread  - good luck and have fun.

Here's a list of the Challenge tracks being developed:

Hi Vuya,

Can someone be involved in multiple challenge projects, or is it just one challenge project per person?

I need to know so I can get my invites out quickly if it's the latter ;)

Absolutely, you can be involved in as many as you like.  :)

Under the heading of "Never a dumb question". How does one enter a song in this challenge? This comes from an old guy who was once "strong like bull, smart like tractor".

That’s a great question and not “dumb” at all :-)

Simply start up a new project and you will see on the project settings a tick box that says something along the lines of “is this a Challenge?”

You tick the box and it will show a list of the available challenges, you then choose the Challenge you want to take part in and it will show on your project homepage.

Hope this helps, but let me know if you want any further help :-)

Thanks Steve, this should be fun!

Looks like my buddy is going to do the bass track, so that's one less thing. I was kinda hoping you would do one of your tasty solos, like you did in your song "I Go To Pieces"  in the middle break of this song. This song needs much though, so you could probably take your pick of things.
