Collaboration Phase This is a work in progress. Collaborators are busy busy!
Project Type: Public
Started: Feb 26, 2021
Description: Dark lyrics but I hear it with a fast, almost upbeat drum beat. It is 90 bpm, recorded in 8/4 time, and vocals use a G blues scale. The lyrics reflect various traumas, emotions, and injustices in life with the chorus determining a "giving up".
Project brief: I would love to add some rock out drums, bass, and guitar to this; I am open to other musical ideas. There is definitely some anger in there, but in a subtle, sarcastic way. I will add more of that in my final vocals also. I look forward to hearing ideas!

In a need to be free of changes Dancing on a ghost Disappoint to be me with angers That appear to be most Delicious and anxious and just Wash Away So afraid of the misplaced dangers What does God say/ No children play Take me up that dirt so steep Lay me by a shallow ledge Can't swallow one more broken start Not taste another black day edge So take me down Before a dust brushed lover Laid beside a frozen tomb Left behind a suspicious another Spoken too soon With a dangle of indecision Slip a knife blade between dirty sheets Recounting past memory position Buried sweet So take me to the water deep Where memories resound Can't hear a smothered bitter start Not swallow one more silent sound So take me to the waters edge and lay me in the sand Can't lose another shattered heart Not hold one more hollow hand So take me down In a shadow of violence and hatred Soldiered among shattered dreams With a promise eternal and sacred In between If righteous and lightness in darkness Spills fragile into scattered seams With the means to be well fed and battered Then polished clean So take me to my earthy floor Broken bones scattered all around Won't steal another devil's dream Not dance another empty sound So take me to the waters edge Lay me in the sand Can't lose my broken shattered heart Not hold one more hollow hand So take me down And let me drown
Get it now, or continue looking around?
