Project Summary

Description: Humorous song about not enjoying the technology of this day and age

Project brief: I am looking for someone to write a melody for my lyrics

Lyrics

VERSE ONE I watch television On my computer screen I can't remember the last time I bought a magazine I drive my new car With the sound of my voice I don't like this way of doing things But I don't have a choice CHORUS I know it's a first-world problem I know I shouldn't complain But it's no fun living in a high-tech world When you have a low-tech brain VERSE TWO If you call and leave me a message I hope I will hear it I just might enter the wrong number And accidentally clear it I don't like my smartphone It makes me feel so dumb Maybe someday I won't feel this way I'll be uncomfortably numb CHORUS I know it's a first-world problem I know I shouldn't complain But it's hard living in a high-tech world When you have a low-tech brain BRIDGE I want to go back to a simpler time When telephones rang and poetry rhymed And books were printed on paper in ink And it was okay to sit still and just think
