Happy Fresh Veggies Day! Yes, it really is a thing.
A huge congrats to Graham & Kim for winning the jingle challenge. And of course, to Vuya & Tom for coming in soooo close! As we mentioned a few times, this was such a fun challenge and we wish more members would have joined in.
On that note – we have noticed a significant drop in the challenge submissions. So we ask you this – do you still want us to host these challenges, or should we just stop them? A lot of time goes into setting up and managing these challenges, but if it’s not something that you’re interested in, please let us know. Either way, we are completely cool with it – we’ll just focus more of our time on developing other aspects of the site.
With that said, and we have mentioned this dozens of times – if there is something that you want to see on the site, or want us to implement, or if you have any suggestions or ideas for the site – please please please speak up about it! We encourage feedback; we want you to tell us how you’re feeling.
We can’t force you all to collaborate or to be active in challenges and such, but with that said, you have to understand that if you don’t participate, the site won’t be active. So it’s all about you putting in as much as you expect to get back. In other words, if every member starts a project & also contributes to a project – there will be one hell of an active community! Remember, there is a reason that you joined a ‘collaboration’ site – it’s because you want to collaborate, so start collaborating people! ;)
We finally have a dedicated forum specifically for the licensing opportunities – so swing on by and see if any of the opps tickle your fancy. If so, jump on in and submit your song(s). You have nothing to lose but everything to gain! Check out the current opps here & please make sure to read the instructions on how to submit your songs.
We’re very excited to finally be able to properly announce our work-for-hire project option. Currently, it is in Beta, and there is a project that we are using as a test called Stay. So please help us out by joining in and getting a feel for how it all works. There is a small cash offering as well, so why not give it a go? For more details, please read the work-for-hire tutorial.
Another exciting new addition is our funds page. This is where you will see how much you have accumulated in ‘credits’, ‘cash’, and if you’re doing a work-for-hire, ‘escrow’. There is a detailed tutorial that will explain how it all works.
We've just added a new premium add-on feature. You can now customize your profile icon to show that you sing, play, write, or mix. Check it out in your dashboard account settings area by clicking 'Icon'.
In the upcoming months, we’ll be redesigning our community page. If you have any ideas regarding the design or layout, please feel free to give us some suggestions – you know we love your feedback & ideas, so please do let us know!
