OK, so I go the list of people who have the talent that I want: piano. But I get to me a mish mash of people. Some have experience. Some have less. Some have more or less activity on Collabs; what does that red and green bar mean? For me I get the whole bar from red to green. Have I been active lol? How do I narrow down this list and get the people I want who play piano?

Hi neptunedexperiment, the red and green bar is an activity meter so you get an indication of the last time that member was on the site, so red was more than 28 days ago, green within the last two days. Check out the link which tells you more: https://www.procollabs.com/tutorials/activity-meter

The other part is a bit harder because it comes down to exactly what you are looking for, by that I mean ability and creativity etc. If you just want someone to play a part that you have already done or you want someone to come up with an idea.

On the list you got, which I guess was from a search on the Artist page, you will see everyone who says they can play the piano as one of their talents. I'd look through it and see which members are more active on the site (using the activity meter) and then from that shorter list listen to some of their music and collaborations and see if there is anywho who fits what you are looking for. A bit long winded I know but actually listening to other people's work will help define if you like what they do, then you could invite them.

Or even just look for those who have put piano as their only talent, or piano, keyboards etc, that would help filter it down as well. Although it could remove some talented multi-instrumentalists!

You could also use the "style" filter in the search and see if that narrows it down a bit?

Otherise, you could just put up an open audition and see what comes out of it, ultimately it will be your choice on which audition you choose. And you can also Pimp the track so it stands out on the Recent Activity page, you can do this by pressing the Pimp It link in red on the project page.

There are some great keyboard and piano players here so I know you can find what you are looking for.

Hope this helps a bit, any other questions just let me know

Thank you for the help and the message; I pimped [doesn't that sound wrong lol] my track. Worth adding that I don't care that much what the level of the person's piano playing is; I could write compositions for someone of any level. But someone will have to read and play from a music score that I give to them.

Haha...........yes it opens the imagination a bit doesn't it, say like standing on a street corner and asking a passer by: "Hey you want a good time.........come and play piano with me......" :)
