I am new, but it seems what I am missing is an easy way to communicate with my collaborators other than email. For example, this forum works because it has a forum category, then comments or questions regarding that topics are placed in posts, and people can reply and comment on each post. Why not have something similar in each project.
As a collaborator, I usually have a ton of questions about a lot of different things. Yet how is working online any more organized than simply working via email? IF at the end of the day I still have to remember what was said, in what email, about what topic.
In my estimation, comments related to a project should be directly INSIDE the project, not outside in my email. I should be able to create a TOPIC called LYRIC, and be able to chat back and forth regarding everything lyric related. Could this get complicated, sure... but presently my solution is email, and thats nothing new.
I think you guys are doing great. Unlike other places you can kompoz music online, you guys actually take a stand on copyright issues. Despite it being a deep well, you guys wade in and help educate people. I believe the copyright law is something everyone is going to need to understand in the near future. Can it get complicated, sure... but a majority of what people need to understand isn't. I appreciate that your helping to educate, and make the world for songwriters better. Hopefully my comments can help make ProCollabs better. Thanks!

Just a quick clarification on this one - are you aware of the 'track' comments that exist inside of the projects?
Other than the 'kudo' comments which are visible when you arrive at a project, you can click on any of the individual tracks in the project and from there comment directly on the track. These can be further categorized with different topics, so under each topic you can have a conversation on that specific track about certain aspects within that track. The comments will also reflect the version of the track which is being commented on too.
If you haven't seen this feature already, check it out on any project that has uploaded tracks. We completely agree that communication is key in a collaboration so if this isn't enough then feel free let us know where/how you think it might be improved.

No i just feel silly. I was not aware that you could add additional topics. Still not a fan of them being pushed under a file, but im nit picking now:) Now if the only they had a collapsable button to eliminate scrolling through all the different comments. Or does it :)
