Biography

I am an experienced artist, composer and record producer from Brazil. Around in the business for about 20 years. In my actual job as record producer, I'm working for many artists, but also doing a bunch of film/TV music every year.

I play the electric guitar and acoustic guitar (nylon and steel) very well. I can sing very well too, but I'll have a perceptible accent when singing in English (my native language is Portuguese). I also play the bass and music programing but my strongest point is producing and mix.

I usually work a lot time in preproduction (choose songs, tweak them, twerk the arrangements), but also love to tweak performances at the production stage and come with unusual solution at the post production ;)

As a producer, my best skill is to easily identify weak and strong points and have the ability to help the artists to take one step ahead in their careers, finding their appropriate identity, personality and authenticity. At the same time, mentor them to emphasize this qualities while minimize obvious references and the lack of a strong self/unique musical and/or conceptual image.

I'm locally know for my jump-from-normal-to-emerging-artist musical/artistic quality techniques. I did this with several local artists that could project themselves nationally in Brazil...and some of them even internationally.

As a mixing engineer my best skills are listen as a producer, love as an artist and work as horse, as well being perfectionist with artistic matters.

I just started a company focused in music production education for music professionals and students. This happened after I realize that the world is saturated of many people teaching technical stuff about mixing and production but very few talking about the music idea itself, the artistic expression, the music as something greater than a product. please check my website if you wish to know more.
